Happy Easter!

After looking around a little Mia was able to find her Easter Basket and loved what was in it. The Easter Bunny brought her a baby. Mia loves to hold her baby cousin so we figured this would give her cousin a break. This year we were able to see both sides of the family. Mia got to take part in her first Easter egg hunt with Tessa and Krosby at Nick's parent's house. She loved it except for the Elmo eggs! At my parents' house we had lunner and Mia and Calvin got to color eggs with Pap. Mia got to color a couple eggs before we gave her a cup of water to put her egg in.

18 months

18 months already! Unfortunally we are a little behind in posting this since Mia was sick and decided not to let me get some pictures! It only took 3 photo shoots to get her 18 month pictures. The past few months have been some of my favorite ones. Everyday it seems like she learns something new or shocks us on what she comes up with on her own.

A few fun things at 18 months she-

*Weighed in at 26 lbs and is 33 3/4 inches long
*Knows her animals noises *Can put Lucy (our dog) to bed
*Has come up with her own language
*Loves to tickle feet, give back rubs , and be sneaky
*Loves to Swiffer and vacuum the floors
*Always want to help us in whatever we are doing

Luke Days

Today we were able to go out to Luke Air Force Base for their Luke Days. Mia loved being able to run around and watch the planes. We were able to stay for about half of the air show and I have to say the best part was the helicopter. Amazing what this pilot could do.

It's official!

Kate and Em Photography is up and running. We had 2 shoots this week and have one next week. Thanks to our models for helping us build our portfolio! Last night I got the chance to shoot my neighbor. She was so excited and ready to rock her heals! Time went by very fast, I can't wait for my shoot next week.

And we are off

For awhile now Emily and I have been playing around with the idea of starting our own photography business. We finally decided to give it and try and go for it. We are building our portfolio, getting our website, blog and email set up. Our business will based off of newborn, maternity, family and senior pictures. We have a couple shoots set up for next week and will let you know when they are up on the blog.

Ducks

We went to Rio Vista Park and checked out the ducks! Mia was fearless with the ducks and walked right up to them. She wanted them to eat the bread right out of her hand and then decided to try some out for herself. Thankfully she did not eat any. Krosby and Calvin were able to check the park out with us. We can't wait till it gets warmer to go back and play in the water.

Super Bowl

The Steelers made it to the Super Bowl so of course there was a party. Grammie and Pap went all out with decorations and food. Dispite the final score we had a great time. Better luck next year.

Uncle Bryon was a true fan and supported his team.

We are enjoying the break from football and looking forward to Spring Training! (11 more days!)
